Understanding Inventory Tab Follow
Go to https://onboardprint.com/
Enter credentials assigned to your vessel then sign in
Select Inventory Menu Page
Explain each header and what’s its purpose
- Ship Name – Actual vessel name
- Part Number – section will display actual part number and crunchtime number
Part number is assigned by the supplier as the specific identification number
Crunchtime number is assigned by customer for onboard ordering of the product
3. Exp. Life – explain to the user the idea behind the parts life and okay to exceed 100%, the readiness of ordering in advance
4. Description is the actual name assigned to the product
5. Machine Model will display the physical model number of the equipment
6. Par Level is only to be used for actual parts
Paper and toner are based on consumption – you must explain this in detail
7. Inventory will display the physical count onboard
8. On Order will display any future orders for the product in question
If the writing is grey, the item has a PO number
If the writing is red, the item has no PO number
9. Inv Value is the total cost onboard for the line item
Functions related to Inventory Tab
Updating paper
- Locate paper based on description
- Lower the count based on end of day numbers
- Click update to confirm changes
- Confirm changes and OBP will update new inventory count
Updating Toners
- Locate the proper toner color based on part number
- Click update
- Part Replacement pop up will appear
- Select the correct serial number that consumed the toner
- Click Save

- Locate the proper part based on part number
- Click update

- Select the correct serial number that consumed the toner

Inventory Page notes
- On Order Tab
Items in grey means a PO has been assigned and order is processed
Items in red means a PO has not been received and order is not processed
- Items under Par with no orders
Display to users an example of what an under-par item means
This includes the screenshot below showing
Par level is two pieces, but vessel has one piece in hand with no orders placed
Explain how important it is to ensure par level is always met
- Search capabilities
Function allows users to search for a specific item by entering the part number
Example: if you enter A3VX230 it will only display the product in question
Understanding Functions
Parts Movement
- Parts Movement will display the life of each used part and clicks
Explain each function in detail to the users
- Your ship name will automatically appear
- You must select the serial numbers for your printers onboard
- You must select which product you want to review.
- You must select a timeframe for review
- You can click filter for information to display or export to excel to download
Example of Results:
- Ship Name – Will show the Vessel Assigned
- Serial Number – Will show equipment identifier where the part was used
- Part Number – Will show part identifier based on supplier
- Part Description – Will show part name
- Retirement Date – Will show the date the product was retired from the equipment
- Days – will show how many days the product lasted on the equipment
- Total Clicks – will show how many clicks the part did before replacement
Ship Inventory Update
- Ship Inventory Update will display any updates done to OBP in a timeframe
Explain function to the user
- Click Ship Inventory Update
- User will download excel document
- User will open excel document
Example of Results:
- Date updated – the actual date the user made a change in OBP
- Time – posted time that the product was updated
- Updated by – will display the name of the onboard team member
- Ship Name – vessel assigned
- Part Number – Will show part identifier based on supplier
- Part Description – Will show part name
- Inventory Old – last inventory count before new update
- Inventory New – new count after new update
- Total Used – quantity used of the product
- Par Level – only assigned for parts & what’s expected to have onboard
- In transit – open orders with or without PO for the future months
