Calibration c4070 & c4080 with Print Controller Follow
Objective
To ensure optimal print quality and color accuracy by regularly calibrating the Konica Minolta c3070, c3080, c4070 & c4080. Calibration helps maintain consistency in print output, minimizes color shifts, and ensures reliable performance.
1. Preparation
Ensure Konica Minolta production machines are not in use.
2. Machine Setup
Power on machines and allow them to warm up as per guidelines.
Confirm the machines are in proper working condition and have sufficient supplies (toner, paper).
3. Calibration Process
Follow manufacturer instructions for calibration on the Konica Minolta 3070, 4070 & 4080 models.
Utilize calibration charts to adjust color, alignment, and other parameters.
Steps:
- Access: Adjustment
- Navigate to Quality Adjustment
- Select: Density Balance Auto Adjustment
- Click: Output Chart
- Choose an 11x17 paper tray and press Start.
- Place the output chart on the glass with the black triangle facing back, 2 inches from the left edge.
- Add 10 extra sheets on top, and close the document feeder.
- Press Start on the screen.
- Rotate the chart so the black triangle faces forward, 2 inches from the left edge.
- Press Start again.
- Confirm with Yes when prompted.
- Repeat steps 5-8.
- When complete, view the Adjustment Result screen, showing a before (Magenta) and after (Cyan) graph.
- Press the Yellow Key (Reset) on the control panel to conclude calibration.
- Store the final calibration chart in the designated folder for the Onboard management audits.
Verification
- Print a test page to confirm calibration results.
- Compare the output to a reference standard for quality assurance.
Documentation
- Log calibration adjustments and dates in the dedicated record.
- Attach a sample output for reference and maintain records for six months.

Procedures

2. Click: Quality Adjustment
3. Click: Density Balance Auto Adjustment
4. Click: Output Chart
5. Select 11x17 paper tray and press Start.
6. Grab the Chart from exit tray and place it on the glass facing down with black
triangle facing the back of the machine, 2 inches away from the left side edge of the
glass. Place extra blank sheet of papers (give or take 10 sheets) on top of the chart.
Close the document feeder.
7. Press: Start on the screen.
8. Turn around the Chart with black triangle facing the front of the machine 2 inches
away from the left side edge of the glass. Press Start
9. Press Yes
10. Repeat steps: 5, 6, 7, and 8.
11. Once is done, will show the Adjustment Result screen showing before and after the graph.
The magenta color graph shows before and the Cyan color shows after. Press reset
(Yellow Key) in the control panel to finish calibration adjustment.
12. Grab the last Chart and save it in the calibration folder for the Onboard management audit.
