COVID 19 Policies Follow
The purpose of this schedule is to outline the health and safety requirements and safeguarding measures of the Shipowner to protect all guests and Seafarers working onboard during the current public health emergency.
This COVD-19 policy is subject to change at any time in the Shipowner’s sole discretion with the introduction of additional governmental guidelines or Shipowner mandates. If so, we will update Seafarers as soon as possible via email.
Quarantine
Seafarers may be required to quarantine for up to 14 days prior to joining a cruise ship and they may be required to quarantine again onboard after joining the ship. Seafarers will be paid their wage during this quarantine.
Testing
COVID testing and temperature checks will be conducted on regular basis throughout the duration of Seafarer’s contract. Seafarers may be tested once they arrive to port of embarkation and before going to a hotel to quarantine, if applicable. Seafarers will be tested once they get onboard. If a Seafarer tests positive, they will be immediately moved to the quarantine, contact tracing will be conducted, and any necessary protocols will take place.
Potential Exposure
If You are experiencing any of the following symptoms, or other symptoms which the Shipowner may add, You must immediately contact Your onboard supervisor:
- Fever
- New onset cough
- New onset shortness of breath
These may be symptoms of COVID-19 and You will be tested along with all necessary precautions being taken.
Workplace Safety
In the light of the current situation, the following practices are being adopted to minimize potential exposure of Seafarers to COVID-19. You are required to:
- Wear masks always while working in a Print Shop and in the areas where masks are mandatory
- Keep workspaces clean using provided cleaning supplies
- Practice social distancing (staying 6 feet away from others) while using an open deck access and other common areas
Visitors
Visitors’ onboard access on port days will be very restricted or suspended.
Access to Common Facilities
- Restricted or no access to crew bar
- Restricted or no access to crew gym
- Access to open deck will be permitted and social distancing will be required
- Access to Public Room will be suspended
- Access to Laundry Room will be permitted and social distancing will be required
Meals
- Packaged meals will be delivered to crew cabins
Travel
- Shore access will not be permitted on port days.
Accommodation
- Seafarers will share cabins with other crew members.
