Onboard Conduct Follow
You understand that you are representing DG3 onboard and will always conduct yourself in a professional manner. You will also be required to agree to all Shipowner rules and regulations once onboard. A copy of these rules and regulations will be made available to You by the Shipowner prior to joining the vessel, if an employee has not received this document or otherwise would like to receive a copy, please contact the Human Resources Department on your vessel. You confirm that you will follow the rules, policies, and Code of Conduct onboard which will include but not limited to the following:
- The Shipowner and DG3 are committed to preserving our oceans and our environment. As a result, we adhere to Shipowner’s environmental compliance plans.
- Seafarers shall not be subjected to harassment or retaliation. Accordingly, Shipowner will promote and maintain a work environment free from all forms of harassment and retaliation while insisting that all Seafarers be treated with dignity, respect, and courtesy. As such, the Shipowner maintains a “zero tolerance” policy regarding harassment and retaliation.
- Use, possession, or dealing, of illegal drugs is not tolerated at any level. Any Seafarer involved with illegal drugs will be dismissed for Cause. If You are found with illegal drugs when ashore, you will face the laws of that country. Random drug testing is carried out onboard. In the event of a positive test, you will be dismissed for Cause.
- No visible tattoos are permitted when wearing Your uniform and may lead to disciplinary action, up to and including discharge from the ship. Uniforms may consist of short sleeve shirts, shorts, or skirts.
- Fighting is not tolerated at any level on board and can result in dismissal.
- If You have a grievance regarding your employment, you should contact your DG3 shoreside manager via email at onboardsupport@dg3.com You should also contact Shipboard HR personnel and follow the Shipowner’s grievance procedure, a copy of which will be provided to you when you join the vessel.
