Time and Attendance Policy / Schedule and Time Off Follow
Schedules & Time Off
The Company operates onboard vessels seven days per week. Employees who are unable to report to work, or who expect to be late, must notify the Shipboard Manager as soon as possible before their scheduled start time to allow alternate arrangements to be made.
If employees are unable to notify their immediate supervisor, they must notify another member of the Printshop as promptly as possible. Absenteeism or tardiness may result in disciplinary action, not excluding termination. The Company will require documentation from the treating physician supporting an employee’s absence from work.
Time off for employees will be organized by the Shipboard Manager on each vessel. How such time off is allotted is at the discretion of the Shipboard Manager.
Time and Attendance Policy
-
Time Sheets
Employees must maintain accurate time and attendance records. False or materially incomplete entries on Company attendance or time records will subject the employee to termination of employment.
Timesheets reflecting all time worked by the employees and time off taken by employees must be completed each day no later than the end of their workday and are to be completed only by the employee who worked the hours. Employees are not allowed to complete other employee time sheets. Where shipboard terminals are available, employees must record hours of work and hours of rest using this system. This includes any breaks longer than 20 minutes.
-
Punctuality
Employees are required to arrive at work no later than their scheduled start times. An employee who fails to report to his or her work area by the start time or fails to return from lunch or other breaks at the scheduled time is considered tardy.
-
Absenteeism
Any absence from work without the approval of the Shipboard Manager or doctor’s written authorization will be considered an unapproved absence.
