Travel Arrangements, Joining the Ship and Expenses Follow
DG3 will arrange and cover the costs of all flights (or rail) to the port in which you will be joining the ship and return arrangements to your Repatriation Destination, subject to the following terms:
- If you fail to board your designated flight, you will be responsible for the cost to get to the ship.
- If you fail to return to the ship while ashore, you are responsible for the travel costs to rejoin the ship at the next port. There is a possibility that either DG3 or the Shipowner will discharge you for the cause of failing to rejoin the ship.
- You must have Your Passport, Seaman’s Discharge Book signed Seafarer’s Contract, and your original Medical Certificate to board the ship. If You do not bring all these documents, you will be refused to join the ship on that day. You will be then responsible for the costs to retrieve the correct documents and the costs to rejoin the ship.
- In the event of illness or injury, shipwreck, or warlike conditions, the Company will arrange for your repatriation to your home country at no cost to you. Provided, however, you will be responsible for your own repatriation if in the event you are unable to fulfill your duties due to a pre-existing medical condition.
- If you are dismissed/terminated for cause, you will be repatriated at Your own expense, DG3 will still arrange and provide for your repatriation to your home country but will recover the cost of doing so from your Wages.
- You will be entitled to claim reimbursement for certain expenses during your contract. You agree to comply with Schedule 2 of this Agreement related to expenses.

DG3 provides Airalo access to all joining Seafarers. This allows access to internet in order to stay safe during travelling and to be able to keep contact with family members, the Company, hotels, port agents or taxi drivers.
