Error Code: C-3509 Follow

Classification
Main body: Fusing belt temperature difference abnormality
 

Cause
The temperature difference between the fusing temperature sensor/1 (TH1) and the fusing temperature sensor/3 (TH3) stays 50°C or more for a specified period of time.
 

Measures to take when an alert occurs
The main body and the option stop immediately.
 

Estimated abnormal parts
• Fusing unit
• Printer control board (PRCB)
• Fusing heater lamp/1 (L1)
• Fusing heater lamp/2 (L2)
• Fusing heater lamp/3 (L3)
• Fusing temperature sensor/1 (TH1)
• Fusing temperature sensor/3 (TH3)
• Thermostat/1 (TS1)
• Thermostat/2 (TS2)
 

Correction

Solution
1. Check that the front door is not opened or closed frequently, and wait for several minutes while the front door is closed.
2. Check the fusing roller, and repair it when there is any abnormality such as the paper wrap.
3. Check the connection between the rear side connector of the fusing unit and the main body side connector, and repair it when there is any abnormality.
4. Check the connector connections between TH1, TH3, and PRCB, and the wiring. Then repair it when there is any abnormality. (Wiring diagram: Main body (1/5): 8-H, 9-H)
5. Check the conduction of TS1 and TS2, and repair it when there is any abnormality.
6. Check the installation condition of L1, L2, L3 and ON or OFF by the IO Check (45-00) and others, and repair it when there is any abnormality. (Wiring diagram: Main body (1/5): 3-F, 3-G)
Note
▪ The output check on the IO check mode has restrictive conditions. Check the IO check mode list before the output check.
7. Check the installation condition of TH1 and TH3, and the temperature of IO Check (45-11) and others of TH1, IO Check (45-14) and others of TH3. Then adjust it when there is any abnormality. (Wiring diagram: Main body (1/5): 3-H, 3-I)
8. Replace TH1 and TH3.
9. Replace TS1 and TS2.
10. Replace the fusing heater lamp assy/Up.
11. Replace PRCB.
12. Replace the fusing unit.
