Classification

Main body: Image processing

Cause

During the image read, SVV does not become inactive within a specified period of time. Therefore, the machine cannot start the scanning preparation for the next page.

Measures to take when an alert occurs

The main body and the option stop immediately.

Estimated abnormal parts

• Image processing board (IPB)
• Overall control board (OACB)
• Printer control board (PRCB)

Correction

Deactivate and activate the sub power switch (SW2) of the main body.

Note

• The message "Please turn on power again" is displayed on the touch panel.

Solution

1. Perform the IO Check (99-70) and check if there is a problem with IPB.
   • When the results are abnormal, perform solution 2 and solution 4.
   • When the results are normal, perform following solutions other than solution 4.
2. Check the connector connection between IPB and OACB, IPB and PRCB, and the wiring. Then repair it when there is any abnormality.
3. Replace IPB.
4. Replace OACB.
5. Replace PRCB.
