Classification

Main Body: CCD clamp gain adjustment abnormality

Cause

When the CCD clamp is adjusted, the adjustment value becomes 0 or 255. Alternatively, when the CCD gain is adjusted, the peak value of the output data becomes 64 or less.

Measures to take when an alert occurs

The main body and the option stop immediately.

• Image processing board (IPB)
• CCD board (CCDB)

Correction

Note

• The message "Please call service" is displayed on the panel.

Solution

1. Perform the IO Check (99-70) and check if there is a problem with IPB.
   • When the results are abnormal, perform solution 2 and solution 7.
   • When the results are normal, perform following solutions other than solution 7.
2. Check the connector connection between CCDB and IPB, and the wiring. Then repair it when there is any abnormality.
3. Check the cause of the external light, and repair it when there is any abnormality.
4. Clean the lens, the mirror, the CCD surface and the shading plate when there is any dirt.
5. Check the condition of the mirror installation on the scanner, and repair it or replace the scanner when there is any abnormality.
6. Replace CCDB.
7. Replace IPB.
