Classification

DF: Document reading glass cleaning motor abnormality

Cause

Within a specified period of time after the document reading glass cleaning motor (M8) becomes active, the document reading glass cleaning sensor (PS18) does not become active.

Measures to take when an alert occurs

The main body and the option stop immediately.

• Document reading glass cleaning motor (M8)
• DF control board (DFCB)

Correction

Note

• The message "Please call service" is displayed on the panel.

Solution

1. Check the conveyance section, and repair it when there is any abnormality.
2. Check the connector connection between PS18 or M8 and DFCB, and the wiring. Then repair it when there is any abnormality.
3. Check the drive or coupling of the gear of M8, and repair it when there is any abnormality. (Wiring diagram: DF: 6-C)
4. Check PS18, and repair it when there is any abnormality. (Wiring diagram: DF: 3-C)
5. Replace PS18.
6. Replace M8.
7. Replace DFCB.
