C-C101
Classification
Main body: Printer control initial communication abnormality
Cause
When the sub power switch (SW2) becomes active: Within a specified period of time, a response from the printer control board (PRCB) is not received.
Measures to take when an alert occurs
The main body and the option stop immediately.
Estimated abnormal parts
- Image processing board (IPB)
- Printer control board (PRCB)
Correction
Deactivate and activate the sub power switch (SW2) of the main body.
Note
- The message "Please turn on power again" is displayed on the touch panel.
Solution
- Perform the IO Check (99-70) and check if there is a problem with IPB.
- When the results are abnormal, perform solution 2 and solution 3.
- When the results are normal, perform following solutions other than solution 3.
- Check the connector connection between IPB and PRCB, and the wiring. Then repair it when there is any abnormality.
- Replace IPB.
- Replace PRCB.
