Classification
Main body: Fusing belt temperature difference abnormality
Cause
The temperature difference between the fusing temperature sensor/2 (TH2) and the fusing temperature sensor/3 (TH3) stays 50°C or more for a specified period of time.
Measures to take when an alert occurs
The main body and the option stop immediately.

- Fusing heater lamp/3 (L3)
- Fusing temperature sensor/2 (TH2)
- Fusing temperature sensor/3 (TH3)
- Thermostat/2 (TS2)
Correction
Note
- The message "Please call service" is displayed on the panel.
Solution
- Check that the front door is not opened or closed frequently, and wait for several minutes while the front door is closed.
- Check the fusing roller, and repair it when there is any abnormality such as the paper wrap.
- Check the connection between the rear side connector of the fusing unit and the main body side connector, and repair it when there is any abnormality.
- Check the connector connections between TH2, TH3, and PRCB, and the wiring. Then repair it when there is any abnormality. (Wiring diagram: Main body (1/5): 8-H, 9-H)
- Check the conduction of TS2, and repair it when there is any abnormality.
- Check the installation condition of the L2 and L3, and the activation or deactivation with the IO Check (45-00) and others. Then repair it when there is any abnormality. (Wiring diagram: Main body (1/5): 3-G)
- Note
- The output check on the IO check mode has restrictive conditions. Check the IO check mode list before the output check.
- Check the installation condition of the TH2 and TH3, and the temperature of the IO Check (45-12) and others of the TH2, the IO Check (45-14) and others of the TH3. Then adjust it when there is any abnormality. (Wiring diagram: Main body (1/5): 3-H, 3-I)
- Replace TH2 and TH3.
- Replace TS2.
- Replace the fusing heater lamp assy/Up.
- Replace PRCB.
- Replace the fusing unit.
